Lovely set up with plenty of al fresco seating on a closed section of the road, with a handful of smaller tables inside. The staff were friendly. It was busy on a Saturday mid-morning with lots of cyclists. The food options were great though a lot of it seems to be already cooked so the food ordered tends to be reheated. My quiche was decent, baked potato was nice though I could taste from the potato skin it was reheated. Carrot cake was delicious though.

We arrived just before closing time and the staff were very accommodating with our late request for food and drink. We had excellent coffees, a chicken sandwich and a sausage roll which we had on the tables outside as it was really sunny. A perfect late afternoon snack!
We ended up at Poppies after a good hike in the early hours on a sunny weekend. We just went for coffees which were pretty good. We opted for their regular milk Latte and Flat White which was good. They have a self service concept for drinks and saw serving being down for food orders. I found less vegetarian options on display and didn’t have anything to eat then. But overall a lovely place with good seating inside as well as outside the cafe. Very much accessible by public transport as well and is a must visit while in the area. Would love to go back again for the views and coffee.

Nice food, deserts, coffee and outside tables when the sun shines. Good value cafe. Good soup but the bread with the soup is white. They call it white sourdough but seems no different to supermarket white bread. Be great if they had quality brown bread as an alternative.
Nice place to stop by for breakfast or lunch. We had Fritata, Mac n cheese and chicken tikka wrap, all this topped with good salads on the side. The food was nice except the chicken tikka wrap being ok. The salads were top notch. The place was packed as it was a weekend.
On our way to Powerscourt waterfall, we had a stop over for lunch at Poppies Cafe. We ordered salmon and spinach quiche with a side salad, chicken pesto sandwich with veg soup, and lattes with berry crumble on side. Everything was delicious and fresh. Very welcoming atmosphere and loved our time we spent here.
